The Verdict: Framer has quickly become the darling of the design community, and for good reason. It feels like designing in Figma but publishing a real, live website. The animations are buttery smooth, the templates are gorgeous, and the publishing workflow is nearly instant.
As someone who's used both Webflow and Framer extensively, I'd say Framer wins on speed and visual polish, while Webflow wins on power and flexibility. Framer is ideal for landing pages, portfolios, and marketing sites where visual impact matters more than complex functionality.
The CMS is improving but still basic compared to Webflow or WordPress. And if you need ecommerce, forms, or complex integrations, you'll quickly hit Framer's limitations.
